Position's main purpose: 

In charge of financial aspects for all programs (no matter what their size and complexity) in order to monitor, assess and support the optimization of the program's/s' profitability and cash, support commercial plan and financial forecast

Key responsabilities: 

1. Commercial Financial / Business Plans and Quotations
• Develops business case and quotes for new programs, replacement programs and program changes; control and track the pricing and costs of programs in both production and new product launch period.

• Business case update.

• Roadmap and 6-panel chart update.

• Capital Expenditure control.

• Engineering cost and startup cost control.

• Material Cost Control.

• Customer Pricing Tracking.

• Supporting the commercial team in quote development and customer pricing negotiations.

2. Program Phase 0-1
• Collect relevant data to develop Targeted Business Plan to support product and strategic planning.

• Collect relevant data to develop the Business Plan and necessary financial business case simulations to support commercial customer Request For Quotation (RFQ) (at Phase 1).

• Identifies financial risks and opportunities through reviewing and challenging input data.

3. Program Phase
• Sets up Program Award Business Plan based on confirmed assumptions according to customer awards.

• Establishes and acquires Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) approval based on validated SDT input; ensures company assets are optimized in the program.

• Identifies financial risks and opportunities through reviewing and challenging input data. Validates each gate (program phase) at economic level.

• Delivers standard program financial reporting to the program team, and the company management.

• Reviews all program related contract drafts and checks that all company requirements are included. Participates in profitability and cash improvement actions (make-or-buy decisions, etc.)

• Organizes regular Financial SDT meetings to identify program financial risks/opportunities and review relavent actions. Tracks program changes and reflects the program status through Financial Roadmap. Ensures program Financial Sign-Off (FSO) is validated before each Gate Exit.

• Monitors program spending on Capex, Tooling, Program Cost, Engineering Cost, and Launch Cost against program financial baseline.

4. Serial Production
• Ensures adequate transition of Program data and information to relavant cost controller (within SOP+3 months)
5. Financial Planning Responsibility
• Contributes to the Financial Forecast and the Profit Plan processes.

6. CI Programs
• Supports, coaches and challenges the SDT members on all financial matters

• Proposes business tools and system improvements relevant to programs

• Be responsible for participating in CI incl. 6-Sigma, KAIZEN, VA/VE, PACT and etc. Responsible for introducing BBP concept in program controlling and engineering

• Improves AFM and program controller competitiveness and customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement activities and inspiring innovations of ingenious products, services, solutions and processes.

7. Manpower Planning & Budgeting
• Ensures that AFM and program controller is adequately and efficiently staffed in accordance with company’s business strategies

8. Internal Communication
• Be responsible for communicating and cooperating with different departments effectively and timely so that the team project can be carried out smoothly and the company value can be maximized.
9. People Development
• Shares experience and knowledge with junior team members

• Assists manager in leading and developing the team

• Supports employee development by offering proper training, coaching and job rotation opportunities; ensures that Performance Review, Succession Planning and other HR programs are implemented.

10. Continuous Improvement
• Supports , coaches and challenges the SDT members on all financial matters

• Proposes business tools and system improvements relevant to programs

• Improves Costing competitiveness and customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement activities and inspiring innovations of ingenious products, services, solutions and processes.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in engineering preferred, advanced education degrees in business, economics, finance, and accounting is a plus.

• Sufficient knowledge of accounting and financial management

• Sufficient knowledge of general process of program management and control.

• Domestic tax law

• PRC and US GAAP

• Engineering design and various Office software
